Auctions Terms of Sale
-
Lots are reserved at 80% of the estimate. Lower bids will not be entered.
-
All bids are by lot numbers and in the proper bid increments.
-
All lots are awarded to the highest bidder at one increment over the second highest bid. Bid what you feel is necessary to secure the lot. Your bid will be reduced as competition allows.
-
There is no buyer’s premium.
-
Successful bidders who have established credit will have lots shipped and an invoice sent to them for payment. All other bidders must pay in advance upon receipt of invoice. You may pay with check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Title remains with Jim Forte until all invoices are paid in full.
-
All lots are genuine as described. In the event of a discrepancy, we must be notified within five days of receipt.
-
Returns are not accepted if you or your agent has examined the lot or if the fault is clearly described.
-
Covers may include minor faults from postal duty. Minor reductions, aging, edge wear, light wrinkling or backflap damage are not grounds for return. Serious or unusual faults are described.
-
Successful bidders who wish to submit a lot for expertization must notify us in advance or within five days of receipt. The lot must be paid for. If a mutually acceptable expert finds a lot to be mis described, we will refund the full purchase price, plus the expert fee up to a maximum of $100. No lot may be returned if altered.
-
Nevada residents will be subject to a 7 3/4% sales tax, unless a resale number is presented.
