Nebraska literature consists of:

Postal History of Nebraska Part 2 by William F. Rapp is a post office listing, but it has many shortcomings.

A Checklist Nebraska Post Offices 1853-1990 by Richard W. Helbock is a compact listing with a value guide.

Perkey's Nebraska Place Names by E. Perkey contains both name origin information and a fairly good post office listing.

Nebraska Territory Postal History by Charles W. Winter

The market for Nebraska is fairly unusual. There aren't a lot of collectors, but those collectors are fairly avid. Demand seems to be mostly statewide, with collections formed along the line of "one example from each town." While there are several contenders for a scarce discontinued post office, a very good collection of Omaha or Lincoln could be put together without much competition. Western Nebraska is especially scarce.

Among the 50 states, the District of Columbia, R.P.O.'s and Streetcars, Nebraska rates as the 28th state in terms of percentage of covers sold at 52.29%. It ranks 16th in terms of the value of covers sold as percentage of all town cancels sold at 1.77. The overall rank is 16th. This is a ten year running average. The most recent trends are decreasing.
